Project Information
| Project Name: |
FELDA Serting Hilir Biogas Power Plant Project |
| Country: |
Malaysia |
| Description: |
The mentioned project consists of the construction and operation of 3 closed biogas digester tanks and a grid connected biogas power generation plant, located at Serting Hilir, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The purpose of the project activity is to utilize the methane gas generated from the anaerobic treatment of palm oil mill effluent (POME). The methane gas will be captured by converting the existing open anaerobic digester tanks in the mill to closed type anaerobic digester tanks. Then the methane will be utilized to run a 647 kW gas engine (later upgraded to 1,294 kW) as an electricity generator. The electricity generated will replace the use of a diesel genset and will be exported to the Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) grid. |
